The other day, I had the pleasure of teaching my biggest private watercolour class to date. It was such a great experience teaching a diverse age group which literally spanned across three generations. We painted a bouquet of poppies and ranunculus which I thought was called sweet pea. I guess I still have a lot to learn after my 100 flowers project.
If you are starting out and looking for an art activity to get into, I would highly recommend giving watercolour a go. It is so therapeutic and easy to pick up. Unlike most other mediums, watercolour forces you to work quickly and not think too hard which is a great way to free up the fear in one’s head. Once you understand the concept of layering, you are pretty much guarantee to end up with a masterpiece. The happy faces above is a perfect example of how fun watercolours can be. x
